The 7 Graces of Marketing by Lynn Serafinn has received the eLit Book Awards Silver Medal in Humanitarian, Ecological and Social Issues. Lynn’s book Tweep-e-licious also took the Bronze in Business, Marketing and Sales.
I am so pleased to announce that both my books The 7 Graces of Marketing and Tweep-e-licious received medals in the eLit Book Awards. Offered by the Jenkins Group Inc. and Independent Publisher Magazine, the eLit Awards celebrate books in digital format. Both books, along with the other winners, will be featured on the Independent Publisher website and highlighted in their monthly newsletter, which goes out to more than 20,000 subscribers worldwide, many of whom are agents, buyers and librarians.
Here’s a mobile snapshot I took of the lovely certificates I received in the post:
The 7 Graces of Marketing: how to heal humanity and the planet by changing the way we sell was awarded the Silver Medal in the category for Humanitarian, Ecological and Social Issues. It’s so encouraging to have this book be recognised by industry professionals in these categories. I’ve always said that The 7 Graces of Marketing really isn’t so much about ‘marketing’ as it is about our modern culture. I feel winning this award demonstrates an increasing awareness about the important connection between business ethics, social justice and the environment. I’m delighted the judges could see the social significance of this book and I really hope it helps guide more people to read it and become part of the wave of change starting to happen in our 7 Graces Project and community.
My other book Tweep-e-licious! 158 Twitter Tips & Strategies for Writers, Social Entrepreneurs & Changemakers Who Want to Market their Business Ethically, took the eLit Bronze Medal in the Business, Marketing and Sales category. I believe this choice reflects the increasing awareness of the importance and relevance of social media (and Twitter in particular) in today’s business world. It also demonstrates how our marketing paradigm is changing. No longer are we in the era of one-way communication with our audience, but an age of two-way dialogue. My aim in writing Tweep-e-licious was to provide conscientious business owners with a practical handbook for using Twitter to start that dialogue with their audience, and build relationships with both customers and partners.
RATED #1 BUSINESS SHOW: Recently I did an interview called ’158 Twitter Tips & Strategies’ on Deb Scott’s radio show ‘The Best People We Know’ on BlogTalkRadio. I’m not sure I actually covered 158 tips, but I did share a LOT of useful Twitter marketing information. The show was so popular it was ranked by BTR as the #1 Business Show of the week. You can listen to the replay here: http://bit.ly/14LWq1w
Thanks for indulging me in my celebration! I do hope you’ll check out both of these books. Just click the link above that says ‘Books’.
