The 7 Graces Global Conference (7GGC) is neither a trade show nor a training event. It is an emerging worldwide community of business owners, marketers, media professionals, journalists, eco-citizens and conscious consumers who will together create a paradigm shift away from big (and bigger) business, and towards a more holistic and sustainable model for commerce that is kinder to our health, our communities, our economy and our planet.
Because we want the dialogue to be truly GLOBAL,
you can attend either in person at the London event,
or from anywhere in the world via Interactive Live Stream.
This is not a one-off conference, but a long-term vision. Our goal of will be to provide education and support that can help rebuild local economies in vulnerable societies around the world who suffer as a result of modern consumer culture. Positive change can only come about via three elements, the foundation of which we aim to create through this event:
Taken from the book The 7 Graces of Marketing: how to heal humanity and the planet by changing the way we sell by author Lynn Serafinn, The 7 Graces are a set of values and principles intended to provide a guideline or model for our business and marketing, and indeed our lives in general. In this paradigm, each ‘Grace’ is set against its corresponding ‘Deadly Sin’:

Rachel Elnaugh – Keynote Speaker
A Dragon’s Tale – a new view of the business world
Keynote Speaker Rachel Elnaugh will be sharing her dramatic story of how burnout opened the door to happiness for this once fire-breathing business Dragon. Hear about her entrepreneurial rollercoaster and the synchronicities that ultimately led to her work in the world of metaphysics. And finally, find out Rachel’s take on how the world of modern business is burning out too—and shifting towards a new paradigm where money is not the only measurement of success.
Rachel Elnaugh is the award-winning entrepreneur who created the experiences brand Red Letter Days and went on to find fame as a ‘Dragon’ in the first two series of BBC TV’s cult business show Dragons’ Den. The high profile meltdown of her business in 2005 inspired her book Business Nightmares which lead her on a metaphysical journey of personal development and discovery. Rachel is now working on creating the world’s biggest mass sound healing event — The Big Om — at Wembley on 12.12.12 with metaphysical teacher and author Barefoot Doctor.

Collaboration vs. Competition
Business owners have long believed Competition makes our businesses stronger; but this fear-based “Deadly Sin” actually weakens our ability to be innovative and creative. In Lynn’s session on Collaboration, participants will experience the ease of creating vital partnerships when we think outside the box using our creative minds rather than our analytical brains.
Lynn will also lead the opening and closing sessions of the conference, engaging the audience in many interactive exercises to help them define and communicate their personal mission and values both during the conference and beyond.
Lynn is a certified, award-winning coach and teacher, marketer, radio host, speaker and author of the #1 bestseller The 7 Graces of Marketing: how to heal humanity and the planet by changing the way we sell, the inspiration behind the 7GGC conference. As a marketing consultant she has produced a long list of bestselling mind-body-spirit authors. Her eclectic approach to marketing incorporates her vast professional experience in the music industry and educational sector, along with more than 20 years’ study and practice of the spirituality of India. Passionate about re-establishing our connection with the Earth, she supports the work of the Transition Network.

Invitation vs. Invasion
Many of us feel marketing is “invasive“, but how many of us know how advertising companies influence the content of the entertainment on television? Leon Stuparich is a London-based independent producer, director and film editor. Over the past 20 years, Leon has worked on some of the biggest shows on TV including The X Factor, Big Brother, Strictly Come Dancing, and a long list of documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4. Chris Arnold

Directness vs. Distraction
Marketers often use ‘distractive‘ techniques focussed upon entertainment, gimmicks and brand identity that encourage overspending and the adoption of destructive lifestyle habits. In this session, Chris will explore how to use Directness to get back to plain, honest speaking, hype-free communication that informs and empowers the public, and encourages responsible consumerism.

Transparency vs. Deception
Deception in business occurs not only when we are dishonest with the public, but also with ourselves. Shelagh Jones

Abundance vs. Scarcity
Scarcity marketing predicates the belief that resources are limited, and that we are incomplete without ‘more and better’. In this session, Shelagh will look at building the Abundance of balance, harmony and sustainability into our business models and explore new ways of measuring business success beyond monetary profit.
UK-based Shelagh Jones is a marketer, public speaker, and owner/CEO of Spiritus, the Spiritual Marketing Directory. For a long time, Shelagh noticed that many business owners weren’t effectively communicating their business’ underlying values, principles and passions to their customers. This meant their customers didn’t ‘get’ what their businesses were all about, ending up in lost sales and disappointment. So she started Spiritus, an online arena in which like-minded people whose values come first in their personal and business lives can connect with each other, forge exceptional relationships and create outstanding ideas, products and services—and marketing that works.

Over the last 18 years, Nick Osborne has worked in management, leadership, training, consultancy and activist roles with organisations including Changemakers, Shell, Amnesty International, the Ecovillage Network and Transition Network. This event is an expensive one to produce, and we are grateful to the many sponsors who will be helping us defray the costs. After expenses are recouped, at least 50% of all profit will go back into the 7GGC business, to allow us to create future events like this in different parts of the world.
Additionally, 10% of all profit will go to the foundation of the 7 Graces Virtual Business Incubator Programme (commencing in 2013), which will offer business and marketing support/training to selected aspiring ethical entrepreneurs in underprivileged parts of the world, so they can start new businesses that will benefit their local communities. Your attendance at this event will help make this happen.
